Mudgee Explorer Tours

There was one phrase I heard over and over today.... "small world!"
Wayne and Evelyn found some remarkable connections with the Cellar door staff who served them and entertained them today, discovering an array of common friends from past and present.
"Jodie", the sparkling rosé at Lowe, has become almost human and has quite the reputation! (She goes home with just about everyone! Haha)
Wayne adored the shiraz at farmers daughter, and Evelyn found some nice whites to enjoy.
Thanks for coming today, friends 😊

Something a little different.
Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting these 7 fantastic people. We had a late start with pick up at 11 abd then ended the day at Burnbrae for some live music.
The guys had a few wineries they wanted to get to and there was not one disappointed person when it came to our beautiful Mudgee wines. We traveled to Moothi Estate to visit Barnett the wine dig and then off to Robert Steins. Next stop was farmers daughter and then off to lunch at Di Lusso x loved spending my Sunday with these guys, lots of laughs and also good solid sledging between friends.
See you next time guys!

Our group of 8 began the tour at Lowes and it was clear right there that they were not going to let a bit of rain spoil their fun! We bused and slushed around our region sipping away in the glorious rain and all agreed it was a perfect way to spend a rainy day. All were impressed by the knowledge and passion shared at the cellar door and everyone learnt some new wine lingo, and our 2 friends from Florida even learnt some Aussie slang! Our full dayers enjoyed lunch at Moothi while I dropped off Janet and Geoff and picked up Chris and Tash. They bought the sunshine with them back to Moothi to join Brian and his lovely family and Matt and his Floridian friends. Off we went again for more delicious wine.
One of the best parts of this job is hearing the laughter and being a part of the fun and shenanigans.

A wonderful Saturday out with Jason and friends up from Sydney for the weekend. The wet weather couldn’t dampen their enthusiasm for a day packed full of fun, food, laughs and wine!!!
With a beautiful start to the day at Pieter Van Gent, then more stops for wine and cheese (and frogs) before settling down at Di Lusso for lunch.
With appetites satisfied off we jet again for tastings, history and almost 4 legged stowaway companion joining us for the afternoon.
The afternoon slowed down for palate sensations and laughs before having to say goodbye to these beautiful people.
Thank you all for a lovely day

🎶Playing in the rain, we're just playing in the rain 🎶
Not even heavy rain and muddy road could stop these guys from having a blast. I had a split tour day, 7 people for the morning tour and a totally different crew of 11 for the afternoon! We started the day at Di Lusso where the guys quickly decided this was going to be where I dropped them for a long lazy lunch.
We then popped over to Pieter van Gents for some serious port tasting and last stop at Robert Stein.
After dropping my morning crew at their lunch destinations I headed in to pick up my awesome arvo tour group.
We popped into Blue Wren, Short Sheep and The Small Wine Makers. There were plenty of laughs and Blue Wren may of found another bride to look after!
Cheers guys 🍷

What a beautiful day! The weather held it together for us yesterday as we pottered around our region. I had 7 brilliant people to keep me company and they all got along like a house on fire. Still never ceases to amaze me how so many people from such different back grounds all find something in common and make a connection.
We started our day at Bunnamagoo and wow they we're impressed! Next stop was Peterson for some Verdelho for Dougs daughter in law, I told him he could adopt me anytime x
Then we bused to Short Sheep, a favourite of Rachael's group and we manage to squeeze in a great tasting at Blue Wren before lunch.
I dropped Rachael and crew at Pipeclay Pumphouse while Doug, Mike and I lunched at Lowe Wines.
After we were all full and happy we decided to pop into Pieter van Gents, Vinifera and BakerWilliams Distillery with our final stop at beautiful Moothi Estate. Cheers for the laughs and a great day!!!!

This afternoon was an absolute pleasure sipping around Mudgee with Emma and the ladies. They chose the Mudgee this year for their annual girls getaway, and are enjoying our region and the lovely wines on offer - and why wouldn’t you?
They loved Burrendulla wines and a good yarn with Ted, then over to Moothi for more tastings and a bit of a nibble while taking in the beautiful vista. We finished off the afternoon with some Wellstead shrubs for something a bit different and a fine day was had by all.

Happy 38th Anniversary!!!!!
What a gorgeous way to spend it, busing around on a half day tour. They had a few recommendations so off we went Robert Stein vineyard, Fran fell in love with their Moscato. We then traveled to Farmers Daughter with Amanda, and off Lowe where the beautiful Jacqui looked after us. We visited Robert Oakley to have a chat and taste with Pandora and then decided our last stop was going to be Di Lusso Estate. Thank you for a wonderful day guys! Who said you can't play in the rain!

Tuesdays tour was just perfect. I picked up Lynn and Patrick and off we shot to our first winery. As we traveled around I found out that they are here on holidays from the UK visiting their son and grandchildren. We chatted away at lunch and then it was time to pick up my lovely afternoon ladies. It turns out they only live a few suburbs away from each other in Sydney! Everyone was blown away with our beautiful town,I'm so proud to show it off. Thank you to my awesome crew for a relaxing and very entertaining day! ...

A special day it was, indeed!
All our winery friends were in fine spirits today, celebrating love 'n' all that!
Tom and Jane ran into an old family friend, Margot, at Robert Stein winery. So our first stop started with hugs!
Tom found an old motorbike just like his grandad's, in the motorcycle museum.
Niamh and Luke joined us from Sydney, and they're sticking around for a gourmet meal tomorrow night at Blue Wren, where the whole group voted the Verscato and the White Port as favourites!
Thanks for coming, friends, I enjoyed your company today 😊

Great day with these guys from Sydney and London. I picked up Sam and Grey from their accommodation and headed to Moothi to start the day. First time wine hunting in Mudgee and they absolutely loved it.
I left them for lunch and picked up Sarah and Hannah from the Parkview and we all headed to Lowe wines. The rest of the afternoon was spent relaxing at wineries and topping it all off with a visit to Gilbert wines and the cheese factory. Cheers for a fantastic start to my week 🍷

What a Sunday, it was absolutely brilliant!
I picked up 8 fantastic people who were all party animals and they just made my day. So cheeky! I know now that I should never underestimate a Sunday tour, they are never tame or for the faint hearted. We had a international Sumba dance instructor who taught us so saucy dance moves, the ladies rocked it. Then sat down to a lazy lunch at Burnbrea with wood fire pizzas and a platter.
There's only one rule on a Sunday tour, we have to go to the pub for a drink after, it would be rude not to!
Cheers again guys for a brilliant day xx

Yesterday I had the privilege of spending the day with 2 wonderful couples. Joanne and Simon were celebrating their 1st wedding anniversary and Mardi and Geoff celebrating Geoffs birthday. I loved hearing all about their travels, adventures, and Simons romantic proposal here in a Mudgee vineyard in 2015! There were hugs all round at the end of the trip and new friends made. Thanks to you all for sharing your day with me ...

Saturday Tours are always brilliant! I had 4 on a full day and afternoon/morning crew. The weather was perfect, the wines were (apparently, can't drink) outstanding! There's always a great bunch of people and cracking stories. Yesterday was no different. I even had Sue and Kevin come on another tour with me within a fortnight! Love these guys, return customers are awesome! ...
