About Us

Growing from one bus, one explorer, and a big dream in 2016, Wine Explorer Tours now operates eight mini-buses that tour Mudgee wineries every day of the week.  We even have a guesthouse in the Mudgee CBD!

In May 2021, Wine Explorer Tours branched out into Orange, bringing locals and visitors alike to the best wineries the Orange region has to offer.

Under the direction of founder and chief exploring officer Bronny Parry, Wine Explorer Tours has become part of the fabric of the Central West’s wine culture. It was a trip to Peru, and both the genuine kindness and quality service of the Peruvian people, that inspired Bronny to build what is now Wine Explorer Tours. Bronny’s goal was to bring that sense of connection and joy to her own business, and with continued growth and expansion, Bronny’s dreams have become a reality.

We invite you to experience the friendly, fun, and heartfelt ethos of Wine Explorer Tours on your next visit to Mudgee and Orange. We promise you’ll make memories to last a lifetime.

While we try to take you to wineries where tasting fees are kept to a minimum, please budget $5.00 for Mudgee Wineries, and $10.00 for Orange Wineries.

Stay with us at Mudgee Explorer Lodge, and receive a 10% discount off your Mudgee Wine Tours.

The full day Mudgee Wine Tours go for six and a half hours, and you’ll see five to six Mudgee Wineries.

The half day tours go for three hours and you’ll see three Mudgee Wineries.

Can i pick which Mudgee Wineries to see?

You can request Mudgee wineries that you would like to include, when booking. We will include your requests if practical, taking into consideration other guests on your tour, and it also depends on the availability of the wineries.

Where do you stop for lunch on a full day Mudgee Wine Tour?

Lunch will be either in a Mudgee winery, or in one of our local pubs.

Please budget around $20 PP for lunch.

Do you do Mudgee Wine Tours every day, and how many people are needed?

Mudgee Wine Tours run every day of the year, with the exception of three days that we are closed: Christmas Day, New Years Day, and 23rd August (in memory of a past team member)

There is a minimum number of 2 people needed for the tour to go ahead.

Will you pick us up from our Mudgee Accommodation?

We pick up and drop off from your accommodation in Mudgee, if you are in town or up to 7kms out. If your accommodation is further than 7km from town, call us to discuss. On less busy days we will pick up further out of town.

Will there only be wine to try?

There will mostly be wine, but we can include olive tasting, honey tasting and liqueur tastings too, on request.

How many people in a bus?

We use mini buses so they are more intimate and personal, our buses have 11 seats, we also have an 8 seater bus.

What happens with tasting fees?

We try to stick mainly with wineries that offer either a complimentary tasting, or a $5 PP fee.

While we try to keep tasting fees at a minimum for you, the tasting fees are at your own expense. Some wineries refund the tasting fee if you purchase wine.

Do you do private tours?

Private tours can be arranged if you buy 10 seats on the minibus. Otherwise all our tours are shared experiences.

Can we drink alcohol on the bus?

No! It is against the law. Luckily you don’t spend much time in the bus as all the Mudgee wineries are so close. We supply water and chips for you.
